Why won't my DVD play?

Yes, this problem has been asked before. But I'm lazy.

I bought a deluxe, 3-disc edition Black Hawk Down DVD in August (third edition, not the fourth one that just came out). At first the movie, but not the other two discs, would play in RealPlayer on my desktop. Then I took my computer in to get it debugged - I obviously run Windows XP - and now RealPlayer won't play any portion of it. To top things off, my brand new, 2 month old DVD player won't play any of the three discs, either.

Please help, I am going into Hoot withdrawal!

Sometimes the software on a computer that runs dvd's will play

any dvd's but will then lock into the region of your last dvd that you played e.g if your Black Hawk Down is R3 but the last dvd played was R2 it will lock to R2.I think you can change regions 5 times before it locks.Check your dvd region as this maybe the reason why it wont play in your dvd player.Your player maybe region locked.Either that or your discs are faulty.
