If there's no immediate obvious explanation (like you just bumped it) - get a medical evaluation. This could be an early sign of something serious.

its probably a pinched nerve. GO TO THE CHIROPRATOR ...STAT
P.S. all sorts of nerves originate at the spine and control all of our limbs...I read the other answers and I would check the back first, then the blood circulation (my mom has had clogged arteries in a leg that started by tingling numbness, they inserted a stent)

Could be several things. It is best to seek medical attention. However if you suffer with GERDS (acid reflux) then its possible that is causing the tingling. Say say this from experience.

I think you might have blood circulation problems, the same thing happened to my mom..... you shuold exercise more

this is also one symptom of a heart attack, I *think*. Better get checked out. Just to be sure.
