I was fiddling with my computer and accedently set the left click option to search instead of open and can't figure out how to undo the damage.

Update:

This is on the folder.

Update 2:

I can still open folders by right clicking but I want to know how to set it to open when I left click.

Update 3:

I don't know where you set this option, but can you use your keyboard to get at it and change the option back?

I Guess you mean to say that when you double click on a folder, it automatically comes up with a search window. To fix that,

    Open My Computer

Click on Tools -> Folder Options or Edit -> Folder Options

    go to File Types tab

Navigate to File Folder, Folder in the list of extensions click on Advanced and choose Open and set it as Default.

    This should work

i think you have switched the 2 button options on your mouse.

Go the the START at the bottom left of the screen.

    Select the Control Panel.

    Select the Mouse.

Under BUTTONS, UN-check the box label: Switch primary and secondary buttons.

They will allow the normal function of these two mouse buttons.

Good luck, this should work unless i miss understand you.

Just ask again if this dont work, but explain in more details.

Yes indeed, you would have to use your keyboard to maneuver around.

Start with the Windows key to open the start menu then use the arrow keys to go to the Control Panel, maneuver to the Mouse options. You will use primarily arrow keys, the Tab key and the Enter key to be moving arround.
