What are the rules for Yahoo answers?
It seems they take little or no action against offensive or racest items. One user repeatly used the N word to insite hate but the questions remained for a long time.
On the other hand I had an abuse report because I said I had a pu$$y on my profile. Yahoo should get real

Yahoo! Answers is a place where people can easily share facts, opinions and personal experiences to help others. It is up to each member of Yahoo! Answers to maintain the integrity of the community's content. When posting content, please follow these rules:
YOU MAY NOT POST CONTENT (or links to content, including photos):
to exploit, solicit, or harm minors.
that is violent, racist, incendiary, or otherwise objectionable.
that are abusive, threatening, slanderous, or belligerent against any individual or groups of individuals for any reason.
that violates federal, state or local law.
that contains profane, obscene, vulgar or sexually explicit language.
that glorifies self-harm, suicide, anorexia, bulimia, or any other practice that is clearly unhealthy or harmful.
for commercial or advertising purposes, including classified ads.
to vent your frustrations, rant, make statements, or otherwise violate the question and answer format.
to post personal ads or your own or others' personal information.
that violates the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service in any manner.
MAINTAIN THE FORMAT: This is a Q&A community, so please keep postings to this format. Post questions in the form of a question, and do not post answers unless you are attempting to answer the question. Note that if a question is removed, the associated answers and comments are also removed.
NO CHATTING OR PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS: You may meet friends or other interesting people on Yahoo! Answers with whom you'd like to engage in personal correspondence. If so, please use the chat option on your profile page, rather than use Yahoo! Answers itself. Questions that are chatty, or attempts to engage others in personal communications, will be removed. Some examples of questions that do not comply with the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines are below. These are just a few examples, and we reserve the right to change, remove, or add to the list at any time, without notice:
How are you?
Anyone want to chat?
What's your name?
How old are you?
Do you like my avatar?
What time is it?
Who here likes steak?
How many points do you have?
Who likes Britney Spears?
NO POINT-GAMING: You may not post content for the explicit purpose of gaining points, trading points, or soliciting others for points or otherwise "game" the Yahoo! Answers points system.
ONE PROFILE PER MEMBER: Please do not create more than one profile. Members who use different profiles to ask and answer their own questions risk having their accounts deactivated.
NO COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY: You may not post URLs for the purpose of directing commercial activity to a non-Yahoo! site.
NO REPEATED POSTINGS: You may not post similar or identical postings. This also applies if you are including the same commercial URL on all of your postings for the purpose of directing commercial activity to a non-Yahoo! site. Multiple identical postings, even if legitimate, may be considered spam.
USE ENGLISH ONLY: Please do not use other languages or symbols. Also, spelling and grammar count! Be sure to check your spelling and grammar, as content that is unreadable due to excessive typos may also be deleted.
CATEGORIZATION: Categorize your question in the appropriate category. Yahoo! Answers reserves the right to re-categorize or delete questions it determines to be categorized incorrectly.
REPORTING ABUSE: You may not use the Report Abuse link for purposes other than reporting a violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service. You may not report abuse for posts that you personally disagree with, or by people you personally dislike.
NO HACKING: You may not promote or redirect traffic to a non-Yahoo! site, post links to sites that force the download of a virus, programs, or other content, or in any other way interfere with the operation of Yahoo! Answers.
NO PASSWORD TRADING: You may not post content with the intent of trading passwords, product decryption programs, or any other programs.
NO FRAUD: You may not falsely claim credentials or expertise that you do not possess, or impersonate another user.
RESPECT COPYRIGHT LAW: You may not post content that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties.

You can find Yahoo's term of service down at the bottom of the page on the left hand side.
They have a policy against offencive and racist items and it should not have taken them long to remove the offencive material.
If it means anything. When people put that type of c.r.a.p in a post most (intelligent) people are offended even if it is not directed towards them. Most that would be swayed by that junk are not people you want to know anyways.
Racism by no means should be tolerated, and definitely should not be showcased. Don't pass a fault, if something that is posted is racist or incites hatred, report it and I will do the same. I hope others will follow suit.

Everyone is suppose to follow the community guidelines. Which are located to the left of the box when you reply to any question. Most people on here don't report abuse of the guidelines, so alot of stuff slides through. Someone who will report just happened to come across your question and not the other one. If it had racist stuff that offended you.... why didn't YOU report it? You should have! I report anything I come across that is against the guidelines. Kids get on here too, and as a parent I feel someone needs to protect them as best we can.

My theory is that, since it's in Beta (i.e. testing stage), there are either not enough staff to manage it as fully as would be the case for a commercial project, or they are deliberately testing the 'Report Abuse' system by acting on some reports and not on certain others - in other words, moving the goal posts to a set pattern.
If it were my project and had I the resources to do it, I would certainly do the latter.

Read your community guidelines.
People on Answers are the ones who are reporting abuse. It depends on if the person answering the questions is offended by something that was said. If they were, they can and probably do report you.

I am afraid the rules are hard to impose. The more people report racist language the more chance it becomes a rule. But foul language or dirty pictures are easier to discover, there is less discussion about it, so they remove it faster

Guess its hard for them to patrol each and every aspect but its frustrating when people read the T&Cs, get reported and STILL allowed to post. Ah well, what can you do!
