What is this about a humidor(sp?) at Coors Field?

I seen in a recent interview with Matt Holliday that they keep balls in a humidor at Coors Field for all their games. I assume this is because of the high altitude, but I have never heard of this before and am curious what difference it makes?

Basically because of the low air pressure balls in Coors field fly a lot faster and further then they would at sea level to combat this teh Rockies have tried keeping there baseballs in a humidifier so they are warm and moist. Moist balls are softer and thus travel less when they are struck. The benefit is probably minimal but there definately is a benefit

hmm, good question..it's probably the dry air..humidors are to control moisture..so makes sense..
