Might sound weird... But mayonaise in your hair for a little while replenishes shine and softness. So does Olive Oil.
Oatmeal is used for pores and detox on your face.
You can lay used tea-bags on your face for the same thing. It reduces redness of pimples as well.
There are tons of sites for this though.

Avocado mask for your face and egg yolk for your hair, it works woders and makes your hair very shiny.
Will need to wash off both of course.
