What do you think of these wanta be cooks that take a whole page to answer a simple question?

For the most part, I would have to agree with you, listing 5 to 10 whole recipes is not really needed, just the titles of the recipes will do and if they want the full listing... well, there is such a thing called e-mail.I believe that most are trying to show off the 'skills'.

What I really don't understand is why do people even attempt to answer questions when they don't know the answer and how is giving 5-10 recipes going to help if it isn't relevant.

It usually takes more than a short answer to explain cooking technique, especially if one cooks from the heart. Some of the best cooks aren't pros. Don't read the answer if its length taxes you.

If you are a good cook you will just answer the question and go on about you buisness

It's because they want you to choose their answer as the best and receive 10 points.

Maybe they are trying to hard to explain a simple answer that they feel only less intelligent people would ask

The question was asked, they're just trying to help by answering it to the best of their abilities. Just like yours. Don't like it?? Don't read it!!

Because most cooks enjoy sharing their nowledge. But, brevity is an examplary trait.

Few people can express them self in a single sentences!

I think they show conviction and you have to give them credit for taking the time.

There just trying to help if not intrested then just don't read there answers.
