Confused about MP3 players and choices?
My son is dyslexic and wants an MP3 player - is there a product that plays music as well as recorded books? What is the recorded book format, and where to find them? Also he is 11 so want something reasonably sturdy, heard the ipod is fragile. Have seen some multifunction products, but never heard of the brand names so a little leery of the quality. Help! Also, price is a factor, he will have to earn any cost over $100.

I would suggest u go with the Samsung YP-T7 series of mp3 players. Amazing mp3 player!!!Plays music better than most others and also functions as voice recorder, has FM radio, line in recording, image viewer, text viewer, and of course is able to play recorded book format. If u live in New YOrk City, u can download recorded audiobooks from ebooks.nypl.org

Might consider a flash drive music player. They might be a little more sturdy, and you could download a book onto it...it works with the computer...no additional programs to purchase.
