why do girls ask this?

I've certainly never asked a guy that, but that usually means that they just want to be friends with you and nothing more. It's important though for girls and guys to have friends of the opposite sex though, so that's a nice thing. Unless you fancy her.......

Because somewhere in your quest to score with her, you made a wrong turn down Friendship Lane. And you cant turn around. You have to have a balance of showing your intrest and the fact that you can be a friend hins forth the title "Boy-Friend" If your too friendly you'll loose everytime

Girls ask that because some girls dont have brothers so they find a guys they feel close to but dont have feelings for and develope a close sibiling relationship. Dont freak out about it you should feel lucky to have relationships like that.

I do it meaning i feel so close we could be family or your like my twin. But yes that does mean she sees you as the brotherly type. Don't do anything a brother wouldn't do.

they dont like you in "that" way, not boyfriend material, they think. they dont want to be friends as it can lead to love later in some chances. so a "brother"...no relationship, no sex, just plain brotherly feelings.

They want to be close to you in friendship,not sex related. They know you'd make a good big brother,I guess.

They probably want you to be they're brother because your kind and gentle and the brotherly type!
