when selling your home,whats more important...the agent or the agency?

Both are important. The agent because that's who you deal with. You have to pick someone you can deal with. And who will work to get your house sold. The agency's size clout and marketing make a difference, too. Usually the agency's resources are involved in advertising your house for sale.

Choose an agent and agency that turn over a lot of houses in your neighborhood. That's what i suggest. Drive around to see who has the most "sold" signs in your neighborhood.

That's the difference those two things make.

Definitely the agent - there are agencies with great reputations, but not all of the agents will work that hard, because they work for X agency.

Go with an agent that you're comfortable with, and who you think will work the hardest for you.

I would sy the agent. Our sold our house in 15 days for our asking price. However, seems like it is getting harder in harder to get people to return your phone calls even if you are paying them. I would our agent regarding issues and after the sell to schedule showing since we were now homeless but she would never return them even after receiving a $20,000+ from us.

you probally want to lean more to your agent. they are going to be the people who you are going to deal with the most. Also if you have a friend who is in the buissness that always helps!
