How much will it cost to fix a laptop monitor?

A pole smashed the right side of my laptop monitor, so that I can only see the left side of the screen, the right side is a huge crack and lots of pretty colors.

I want to know about how much it would cost to fix, and if its even worth it. Should I just get a new computer.

I have a gateway 400sd4.

I called and asked gateway and they said $600.

But I think it could be done for less.

Please help.

    hello ,

    go to e-bay and look for parts for your type of computer and I'm sure you'll find something !

    my gateway was the same and i found a used laptop that wasn't working but the screen worked for about 75.00

    you could try Compusa and ask them if you have that store in your area!
