Ia there such a thing as a "smog pump" on a '88 chevy pickup?

    yes, it injects cold air in to the exhaust to lower emission pollutants. should it fail or be removed it will not effect the performance one bit. it only lowers emissions...nothing else.

    actually, it does nothing to lower emission.....it only adds air to "appear" to lower emissions
