Well my boyfriend has told me some shocking stuff about his past, but because he himself chose to tell me, I don't really care.
However, if you heard stuff from other people, I would, at first, take it with a pinch of salt. I would ask the guy casually about the issues that were brought up, but I wouldn't probe and demand answers. Just drop your queries into casual conversation, and try and find out that way. In the meantime, stay with him if you like him, but be on your guard...
