4 replacements in my lower back, L-2, L-3, L-4,L-5. 2 in my cervical spine, C3 and C4. These operations took me from a wheelchair to walking enough that I was able to return to my former work as a Nurse/Paramedic, with minimal pain. My cousin got her disc replacement surgery done in India and she is more than very happy. She had a problem at l4-l5 level.80% of her pain is gone and she is back to normal life now.Spine Surgery is very cheap in India. She paid just 10% of the amount she was quoted in USA.There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges spine surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as spine surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your spine surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.hope this helps

My mother did. It relieved some pain, but not all. It took nearly a year to heal.
