I have a HP 3-in-1 PSC (printer-scanner-copier)1400 series,, works great.

scan the material you want to use and save it in a folder. I create a new folder and put mine in "My Documents"

When you're using MSWord, you can insert whatever you've saved into your Word Document.

  • I am using a basic scanner do to just that. Scan items from magazines and I have no problems and save them as word files.

Scan and save as a TIF file. Word understands and can import it into a document format. Warning: the TIF file is large becasue of the information it stores about what is scanned.
