What is it from the sun/UV rays that cause the skin to change colours?

    High-frequency invisible UV light affects the melanin in everyone's skin. People of color are affected differently than fair skinned people but it's the skin that changes.

    well its not all the light or uv rays its the melaton in your skin.when it gets excited thats when you tan use a lotion

    its not the rays... it a cell in your skin called melaton ... this cell does not reproduce in scars thats why they do not tan like the rest of your skin
