X-Files question.?

What was the name of the kid who was in a few episodes. He had some special powers and was somehow connected with aliens. I can just hear in my head Scully talking to him, but cannot for the life of me remember the characters name.

The reason I am asking is because I thought I saw the same kid actor in a recent movie.... help! :D
