did you know that people still die from dental abscesses that go untreated? sometimes, abscesses will eat a little canal thru your bone and drain- when this happens - usually there is no pain but imagine what that is doing to your body! the best thing to do is get to your dentist and let him/her take care of you the best they have been trained to do.

There is no way of getting rid of the abscess without seeing a dentist, it is an infection that will need antibiotics and the source of the infection taken care of like an extraction or a root canal. Mouth abscesses are very serious if not taken care of, don't take this kind of thing lightly get it taken care of, it can make you very sick.

A doctor can give you the same antibiotics which would be cheaper in the short term but having had one myself i would also suggest you saw a dentist right away. If you cannot see a dentist for a while take aspirin and ibuprofen to ease the pain and if you're a smoker knock the ciggies on the head as well as they can make the infection worse.

HOme remedies are not always the answer. If you have an abcess you should really see a doctor to get an antibiotic. Abcesses can be dangerous, they can cause infections that can spread to other parts of your body up to and including your heart and your brain.

Taking an antibiotic like Amoxicillin 500mg qid or Clindamycin 150mg qid will likely control the symtpoms associated with a dental abscess. However, to rid yourself of the infection, you need to do a root canal or extract the tooth. If you decide to do a root canal, see a specialist called an endodontist.

An abcess is an infection. You need antibiotics before it gets worse. Go see your dentist.

taking antibiotics for an abscess is like taking antibiotics for a splinter. the best treatment is to remove to splinter! in your case, the best treatment is to remove the infected pulp tissue via a root canal. no sweat.

pop it and let it drain and then rinse with listerine, yes it will burn! be sure not to swallow after popping it because that is gonna be puss coming out!you probably need to do it 2 times a day! but word of warning the tooth is gonna hurt more after popping it!because the puss is putting pressure on it right now and when you pop it the pressure will be off of the nerve and there fore it will hurt more!
