Are you less inclined to answer a question if you notice the asker always makes their questions go to a vote?

Sometimes there are many good answers to choose from, this could be a reason why Y!A team has kept that link for users who cannot decide what is the best answer for there question.

No that doesn't concern me. I answer if I know the answer. I sometimes wonder why people pick the best answer they do. Some answers where I was given "Best Answer" I thought others had done a better job. Others where I really thought I did a stellar job, the person picked some stupid funny comment. Oh well. I just like helping people.

Let me tell you what really bothered me is when I answered a question then they e-mailed me because they needed help, so I walk them through it step by step even though the instructions was so clear then after helping them and this person saying oh thank you so much for helping me blah blah blah then they just let their question goes to voting. So I decided to not to answer any question from people like that.

no, i try and answer all the questons i think i can answer.. it does not matter to me if they let it go to a vote or they pick the right answer their own self.. why does it matter..i understand that you would like your answer read and to be comsidered at least if you answer the question...i really have yet to find my question whaen i ask one to even try to pick the best answer.. so i really have quit asking to many questions...i guess i still need to learn more about this but all in all i enjoy reading some of these questions and reading some of the answers...i find it interesting...and fun at times..makes us use are head at times...

I dont check for that but i would rather they choose best answer themselves.
