More of a fitness boost and tactical viewing by Sven in my opinion. See how the players work together, for me it was before the match and after the match a pre-tournament friendly.

I know what Sven is doing, just getting past the first round to get into the Quarters to turn up the heat.

As for the game itself, i think he had it on the nail. Our attacking chances were excellent, even if we didnt score (thanks, Paraguayan bloke) but we got the win and thats good.

It was a good match, bad for Paraguay with the

own goal which resulted in 1-0 to England. I would have thought at least England would at least get a goal by themselves. It would have resulted in a 0-0 probably (I dont know) if it wasn't for the own goal.

What's unbelievable is how the commentators and pundits were giving Beckham credit for the goal, when you could see from the replay behind the goal that the keeper had it covered all the way until it came off the head of the defender.

k_mg8 - No penalties in the first round, it's only in the second round, quarter and semi and finals.

England were good and were lucky to get an early goal. just check they were not defencive. they were only frustrating them by killing all oppositions moves. and how easy it was for them to reach the goal post of opposition. in real they were not playing their real selves so as no other team coach should know what they can do to others if at all when needed.

england are bad in the first half but get better in the 2nd half, it sucks coz someone like brazil will score 3 goals in the 1st half then england will have to catch up hahahaha against brazil, dont think they could

It was boring.

It was ok, not the best match Ive seen, they had enough chances to make it 2 even 3 nill, at least we won though, you cant complain about that
