    no, it's more of a stupid-people thing than a regional thing. There's yankee rednecks in New England.

    Mostly in the south because of the "Civil War" I think. Think, you see most rednecks with the rebel flags and I live in Houston and there are quite a few here.

    South=Rebel

    Rebel=Rednecks take pride.

    But they can be anywhere, I am not just saying they ae in the "south".

    Oh my goodness no. While the South has willful ignorance in abundance, it by no means has a monopoly on it. I've met rednecks from New England, New York City, Australia, England, you name it. The intellectually incurious are everywhere.
