DH or no DH?
This is the famous question....is baseball better with or without a designated hitter?

DH, definitely...With all the work of pitching, the pitchers shouldnt have to stress their arms a bit more. For Sox fans, look at Papi. For Yanks fans, look at Bernie. He is the best post-season home run hitter yet.

DH is an artificial contraption that eliminates much of the strategy of the game.
Why shouldn't the pitcher hit? Because they aren't good at it? Who cares, that's part of the game. Maybe we should also put a designated hitter for the SS or CF, so that great defenders who can't hit get a chance to play.
Why shouldn't I be rewarded for having a good hitting pitcher like Mike Hampton, Dontrelle Willis or Jason Marquis?
Yes, it leads to higher scores, but so would lots of things that I wouldn't want messing up the game of baseball in its pure form.

I don't like the DH. The only real benefit I see in it is that it can extend the career of someone who is not as quick as they used to be and is no longer a really good fielder. For a really beloved player (like Ortiz in Boston) , this can be nice thing. Otherwise, I think it is more fair and true to the point of the game, for the pitcher to hit. It promotes more athletic & well rounded pitchers & levels out the playing field.

No DH. Without the DH, it forces the manager to manager.
what I mean is, in a close game wheather or not to
pinch hit, for the Pitcher.

Dh for sure it makes for more runs, RBI's, and Homeruns and everyone loves to see homeruns. and its better because the big dh hitters that have a hard time playing the field can just hit and if there was no dh's we couldn't see the ortiz's, thome's, or thomas' or hafner's

I root for the Yankees and I think it would be better without the D.H Playing with a pitcher in the lineup makes the team have to play small ball it gives a whole new level of play that few teams use.

No DH. Come on!

Well it depends, if one division gets it the rest should to, I think either NL should get it or AL should lose it.
