Does anyone here like to knit?

I have been knitting for over a year. I like to do scarves and blankets. I have finished 2 scarves just this week. I was thinking of knitting all summer and selling products in the fall...possibly Christmas presents. If anyone has done this I would love ideas or suggestions.

I knit and crochet and have sold both types of items. Mostly I make gifts for other people, but recently have been crocheting on commission. Sometimes, if you have a yarn store in town, they sell finished items. I put my name on their list as a teacher and the person I've been crocheting for got my number from them. You could also try selling on ebay or other online auction sites. You may not get the price you're looking for, but if you list it right, you can get something.

Also, check out articles online about selling crafted items.

I have tried to sell some of mine but with not much success. I have a friend who made so many it filled 3 large starolite containers. She went to different shows and sold a few but she was telling me there were so many other ladies doing the same thing it was hard to sell, even on line there are a lot of people selling the scarves. You can try it but start out where you do not have to pay to much for the selling location.

I love to knit :) I only know how to make scarves and the simple stitch, but I'm doing fine. I'm not planning on selling the items I've made-- I'm donating them instead. But you have a good idea. People would pay for hand-made items and they make great presents as well. I made scarves for my friends this year for Christmas and they loved them!

I love to knit and crochet. I started out making scarves, and other small projects and have even made a baby sweater.I have never tried selling what I make ( I donate to charities and hospitals ),so I don't have any advice there. You could try mittens or baby booties. If you have advanced knitting skills, try putting a "spin" on different things like changing stitches or yarn types and colors.Happy Knitting! :-)

Unfortunately your low intelligence disgusts me. I have never been subjected to such stupidly. I am at a supreme level thought, pertaining to the entire known universe. All knowledge surrounds me please do not try to entrain me with such idiocy.

try the local farmers market, you can usually get a spot there....or if there are any flea markets in your area, that would work as well
