without a doubt..a Golden Retriever. Raised from a puppy, a Golden Retriever will be your constant companion. Treated well, this animal will appear in time to be smarter than some humans.I had a GR to jump over a chain link fence to get between a mother and a child she was trying to punish. The dog was not growling or viscous, just persistent. A GR will bark when someone strange comes into the yard, but rarely would attack or bite someone. They are excellent with children and other animals.

That would depend on you. Do you have a lot of time to spend with the dog? Do you have a yard? Do you have a large home or small apartment? Children? Other pets? Check with the AKC web site to find out about different breeds and pick the one that most matches your needs and conditions.

I think the best kind of dog breed is a Rottweiler because they can protect you and they are kind to the people who own the dog!
Other people might think different but my family has experienced a rottweiler and she was a terrific dog!

it all depends on what you want it for and where you live and how much time you plan on spending with it. i have a pit bull and 5 kids and have trained dog for 15 years now and the pit bull is great with the kids . it is all about how you train them all dogs are like kids if you don't spend the time to teach them right from wrong. they both will be a mince to society. so if you don't have the time to spend with ether don't have them
