Do you think pride is a learned habit/emotion or is it instinct?

Do you think prideful behavior, like when you don't apoligize because you are too prideful to, is a learned behavior from your surroundings and influences, or do you think its an emotion you are born with?

Pride is based upon thinking. It is not a pure emotion.

Perhaps "Satisfaction" is the root emotion. This is usually considered a positive one. The filter of the mind can change this, however, by distorting the emotion with thoughts.

These thoughts are part of a learned behavior and personal choices. They are selfish in nature. They are based upon "I" in relation to another. "I" did nothing wrong. "I" have no need to apologize. "I" refuse to do so.

Infants have self awareness, but no pride. They can feel satisfaction. As the child grows and an Ego Boundary is built and defended, the mind becomes trained and will often "hijack" emotions with its "personal interpretation." By choosing to repeat an activity, the altered emotions, like Pride, with be felt and displayed.

experts like running shoes, behavioralists, and vets do no longer continually agree. i'm a coach and maximum of my fellow running shoes (and the behavioralist I many times artwork with) are all the opinion that it is a discovered habit. There are numerous the clarification why i've got self assurance this - too many to record here - and there are a number of the clarification why human beings have self assurance it is instinct. As i'm typing this, i'm gazing a 5 week previous male chihuahua play. he's been waiting to pee on his very own for over 2 weeks now and he hasn't yet lifted his leg. His sire began lifting his leg on the age of around 9 months which occurred to be around an identical time he lived with yet another male canines. So who is familiar with? exciting question.

I think its a learned emotion and instinct. Over time we gain pride as a result of other things happen around us. So we tend to act or feel like something we saw.(hope it makes sense)
