Looking for a long-wearing eye shadow base. I have oily skin, and my eye shadows always seem to crease.?
I've used a few in the past, and am now out and looking for suggestions of one to buy this time. Also, it would be GREAT if anyone could suggest how I could get a sample of the product to try first. They are usually costly, and returns can be a hassle, even when they ara available, so I'd rather try them out free before buying.

One of the best eye shadow bases known to woman is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. It's only $14 at http://www.sephora.com/ If you don't like it, Sephora will always let you return it in sixty days.
It also has a great average rating at http://makeupalley.com/

I have the same problem. I would always get the dark crease, too. I started using cream eyeshadow and that completely fixed the problem. Try the creams! Almay has very small tubes to use if you only want to buy a small amount to try. There are not greasy. That was my concern with using them, but they are fine.

I have the same problem...what I do is use an oil-absorbing powder on my eyelids before I put ANY eyeshadow on. I use Covergirl Fresh Face Power and I gently dab a little on my lids to absorb any oil right away...and I stay crease-free the rest of the day, no matter what kind of eyeshadow I'm wearing!

My skin is very very oily. But since putting foundation on my eyelids, and then using Christian Dior eyeshadow I have never had a problem with creasing. I have Incognito by Dior (5 colours) and it's fantastic! :)

I don't have any brand suggestions, cause I don't wear eyeshadow. But if you want free samples and quality, I would suggest trying a makeup counter in the mall. Usually, Lancome, or Fashionfair or even Mack products are popular, but again, I'm not a consumer. Also, have you tried looking into any products that may reduce the oily-ness of your skin? I would suggest inquiring about that also. Hope I could be some help. :-)

Try Mary Kay's Eye Primer. It's waterproof formula creates a foundation so your eye colors glide on smoothly and stay perfectly in place longer – without creasing or smudging. It is proven to extend and intensify eye color.
