what IP do you have? Some IP limit the amount of DL traffic. You may also be sharing bandwidth with spyware ar other malware. Companies like Charter do not like p2p file sharing and will cap DL's in a monthly time frame. you are also connected to the internet on a "cell", and maybe your IP have opened a cell bandwidth to more ppl in your specific area.

1)try running spybot search & destroy and ad-aware, two free malware removal tools you can find at downloads.com.

2)Call your IP, see if they have DL caps

3)get off the p2p tit and change to bittorrent tracking thru piratebay.org or torrentspy using a tracker like azureus.

  • Some companies cap your bandwidth usage if it goes over a certain amount per month. If I were you, the first thing I would do is give my internet service provider a call and question them.

Go to http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and test your actual download speed. If it's as slow as you think it is, contact your Internet service provider and complain. If not, it may be the websites from which you're downloading.
