Has anyone had 4th wisdom tooth out ~8 years after first 3?
About 8 years ago, I had three wisdom teeth taken out, and there was no sign of a fourth. Lately, I have had pain that seems like it might be the 4th tooth. Just want to know if this has happened to anyone else - I already have a dentist appt. later this month.

4th molars are exquisitely rare but i have definitely seen them before. in fact, when i was in dental school i saw a prisoner that actually chewed with his 4th molars. most of the time they are tucked up behind your eyeball they are so far buried in bone. having one removed should actually be easier than a third molar simply because it's such a small tooth.
you are special for sure.

It is very possible. I had two removed at age 21 and the 3rd at age 25. The fourth hasn't shown itself yet-maybe I'm not as wise as others!! :O)
