Why is it hard for some girls to have a girl as a friend?

Girls are crazy. I am the same exact way. I have found that you can't have a large number of girl friends it just causes problems. I have two really good friends and I try to leave it at that. They are also good friends so this really works out for all of us. I think that most girls are just jealous of every other girls for no reason so this makes for fighting.

Girls are extremely competitive, usually in the area of looks and style, but it can creep into your romantic relationships and school. I found this out in college... the competition between girls is so much worse than the competition between guys. It's why so many girls have low self-esteem, their so-called "friends" are constantly putting them down in order to feel better about themselves. I also have found easier and more trusting friendships with guys. They're fun to hang around, and they'll always be honest with you! I have a very small handful of close female friendships but I find that I trust guys more anyhow.

Girls more than likely are jelous. i also find that having guy friends are easier. Girls always seem to turn everything you say into something about them when guys listen and help you sort out your problems. i think you should not worry about it and just stick with the guys

girls are normally katy or jealous in some sort of way..women are in competition with each other,whether it is trying to look better or have the better hairstyle or better looking boyfriend, getting married or engaged first, or even having a child first....guys on the other hand are more carefree and dont think about this stuff, they are not in any competition with each other over who looks best their only form of competion comes from scoring sexually or which girlfriend looks best. but usually their competiton is all in fun and doesnt get nasty as when youre friends with another girl...

l tend to agree with Meg W and you. I also have had this problem I'm no beauty queen. Yet I do believe you two are most likely very pretty. Thusly girls are jealous bitches evil too, yet men dint see it. So I recommend you stay friends with guys and keep girls at arms length, where they belong. Good luck.

Girls aren’t worth s***!!! We can be the worst creatures out there. We are always trying to be better than one another instead of being there for each other. I don’t keep girl friends b/c one way or another they are going to find away to do me dirt. It’s a competition when you have g/fs, always trying to out do. You don’t have to worry about that with guys,(just if they are trying to get in your pants:).

Some girls are just plain mean but not all like for example i'm not.

Girls are naturally competetive so you need to find "girlfriends" with your same interests and then bond with them. Have fun and don't take things seriously, life is too short.

Girls can be very competitive. Try being friends with a lesbian or gay man instead.
