If I knew who dropped it, or if there was a way for me to find out I would. When I was 18 I worked in a fast food restaurant. One day I found a ladies wallet. It was full of cash. I checked the divers license for who it belonged to. Then I looked up the ladies name in the phone book. Her first name was not listed, but their were about three with the same last name(can't even remember the last name). So I called and asked for a Miss Jody(her first name). On the first one there was no such person. On the second one she answered the phone. When she said, "this is she" I asked her if she had been to Popeye's lately. She said something like,"Why, yes I have". I asked her if she was missing anything. Then she said,"Did you find my wallet?" I told her I had found it. She met me at the store about 15 minutes after that. And what was so cool about it was when I gave it back to her she counted all her money, and check to see if every thing was still there. She gave me a big hug, and told me thank you. Then she walked out the door. As I turned around I felt a tap on my shoulder. When I looked it was Miss Jody. She reached out and put some money in my hand. I told her she didn't have to do that. Then she just smiled and left. Later when I looked at the money I saw she had given me $50.00. Wow.

true story....i was at the casinos and I gave the ladie at the counter $100 dollars for poker chips, she turned around and grabbed some chips behind her and then gave me the chips along with the $100 i just gave her. She turned away and went back to working. I sat there for a minute puzzled as to what just happened but being the good guy that i am I told her what she did. She was very happy I did because she said that she would have had to pay the difference at the end of the night if her cash draw was off.

I would give it back. What if it's the person's last $100? What if it's for food for the babies? What if it's for medicine? Besides, I'd like to think that if I dropped money, an honest person would give it back to me. It's just the right thing to do.

Everyone who is saying they would return it are lying. If someone dropped a $100 bill, you bet your a s s I am keeping that money for myself.

If I saw them drop it and knew to whom to return the money, I would return it. It's common courtesy and good karma.

But if I just found it crumpled in the street, I'd keep it.

This has happened to me a few times and I in fact sis give teh money back to them because when I loose my money or anything I would hope someone would give it back to me. My best friend however complains and says if they are that negligent to drop the money then its not that important, well what if tehy really needed it so always give it back:)

If I knew who dropped it, I would definatly give it back, even if it meant chasing them down. The only way it is acceptable to keep it is if you came across it and did not see anyone drop it, like if it was just laying on the ground.

If I seen them drop it or fall out of there pocket, I would return it, they may need it more than I

Who in there right mind would keep it

If I saw the person drop it, I'd return it. If I saw it lying there on the street, I'd keep it; why wait around my on my own time to see if someone'll come and claim it? I got a house to pay off, dammit. lol

If I saw who dropped it, I'd give it back because God would be watching.

If it was in a wallet and I didn't know who dropped it, I'd take it to the closest business, tell them someone dropped, and let them deal with it (I've done that). Again, God would be watching.

If I didn't see who dropped it, I'd keep it. Who am I giving it back to? Plus, that would tell me that God wanted me to have it. Because "she's" watching...
