Where were you on 9/11/2001 and what were you doing?

I was in Long Island visiting my parents...saw the planes fly over head, thinking, "they are flying very low"

My sister was down by the towers...she was able to get away just as the one tower went down. I'll never forget that day...and no one should ever forget that day!!

God Bless America!!

Update:

MY SISTER WAS DOWN BY THE TOWERS!! I NEVER SAID SHE WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THEM, YOU IDIOT!! SHE WAS IN THE AREA...NOT RIGHT NEXT TO THEM...GROW UP!! It was a horrible day for me...

How frightening for your sister. I am so glad she is okay...You are so right, non of us should ever forget that day or have to relive it!

I was in Holland. Just walked in to my aunt's house and she had CNN on, we saw the second airplane hit the tower. We just sat there holding each other and praying. We spent the next hours calling those we knew who worked in the Pentagon - finally finished at 2a.m. talking to all.

It was weird being away from our country on that day -but have to say that the Dutch were awesome. US flags everywhere - out their windows, on balconies. Flowers left at the front of the base gate that was close by. A minute of silence all over the country was called for. Everybody stopped their cars, got out and bowed their heads. Silent parades. If people heard us talking and realized we w/americans, they'd come up and give us a hug -no words, just a hug. Amazing feeling to know that we w/among friends who cared so much for us.

I was learning HOW to take finger prints in Police Academy, when at the time we were watching the 12:00 news when all of a sudden we heard like fire alarms going off. Then we were able to watch what was going on in NYC.Its a day, NOBODY will ever forget.

God Bless America, land that I love, anybody else want to add to this song?

I was at work in Minneapolis. Someone had a radio on at their desk when the news came out. Almost every employee crammed into our exercise room to see what was going on. It was a tiny 9" televison. We all gasped when we saw the first tower collapse and then the second.

It was a very somber day.

We hold moments of silence in rememberance every year.

I was sleeping...I woke up and thought that aliens had invaded my home town. Also, you're sister couldn't have been down by the towers as they collapsed. The police had moved everyone on the streets back about 4 blocks. Don't lie about tragedy.

I was on the scaffolding of a school I was building. I remenber looking up and seeing the planes truing in circles, trying to land. It was a bad day in our history, and I wish all the family's and friends that lost a loved that day, well I hope they are doing well. And for our president I'm sorry for not getting that son of a bicth Bin Laden. You will get closer.

I was at middle school in the 7th grade, we were in the library to get some books, and the principal came on the intercom and announced that all classrooms need to turn on their televisions and have everyone watch the news because there was a very sad thing going on in New York, and everyone needed to know about it.

I was in my house in Cali. getting ready for school. My friend called me and said turn on the tv there's a bulding on fire that was hit by a plane! So I did and everybody was talking about it a school. I was in 5th grade.

My friend's (different friend) dad was scheduled to be on one of the 9/11 flights but his buisness meeting was canceled at the last minute.

I was in Waycross, GA working on a project for CSX transportation when my wife called me and told me to get home as soon as possible.

I try to return home, but all air traffic came to a halt. It is a day I will never forget. God Bless America and all of those people fighting for our freedom and beliefs!!!!!!
