You probably have to download an update to the actual CD burning software. Windows Media player probably uses the Roxio software to create the actual burn.

Try reinstalling your regular CD burner software, then burning a CD with it. If that works, then Windows Media will start working too.

i have had this problem before, with all burning softwares even windows media player...all you have to do is download the updates or install the newest edition of sofware for free off of www.download.com if that dont work uninstall any windows media player versions then redo the download of new software

have you ever tried clicing on burn? cause there's a little button that says burn to cd. if it doesn't work ,reinstall windows media player/ if youi have the latest version, makle sure when you re-install it check the box beside the urge text which is a burning program.
