You can get these items by defeating Ark in Oeilvert and by playing the Chocobo Hot and Cold mini-game. There are a bunch of other items you can make,

there is a list of them at the end of the Synthesis Section of this guide. You can combine the two Pumice Pieces to form one Pumice, which allows Dagger to summon the Eidolon Ark.

Location : Go to the north eastern corner of the Outer Continent, move around until you find a island with trees on it. Move up the shore and approach the forest, press X while standing over it to make Choco fly. Fly to the island and search around it for the treasure.
