well, at least one thing, (hopefully the subject of the photo) has got to be in focus.
second, if your photo doesn't make you smile, because you felt like you captured something super, then you just didn't get a good shot.
it takes alot of practice to know when you have an awesome photo opp! sometimes you can walk around for 5 hours strait snapping pictures of stuff, and not find a single good shot. its not like writers block, where its your own darn fault, its just things don't fall into place correctly. go to a national park or somewhere pretty if you really want a good start. you need to prove to yourself you can do it. and this kind of place has a bunch of great photo ops. cars driving through holes through holes cut in the bases of trees, a tree line taken from up on a mountain, you know!

(i cant figure out why this isnt showing up as a hyperlink on my computer, right click directly on the website, and click on "copy shortcut" and paste it into your browser bar. hit enter.)
go to my myspace page and look at my other photos, maybe you'll see what I'm talking about. sometimes the best photos are in the weirdest spots, and sometimes they're right in front of you. it just takes a good eye, and lots of practice.

Correct spelling, grammar and syntax. Also, have a thesis statement and supporting sentences. And, when typing manuscripts, always use the spell check feature, so that you wont be insecure when you turn your paper in , or type in general. There are several good text books on format, including the MLA, APA, and Chicago styles. Good luck.

Grammar, correct spelling, but most importantly, content. What are you writing about? Why are you writing it? Will the reader comprehend?
