Hold'em's my game, but Omaha's fun from time to time and it's a good challenge too considering it's got more variables, probabilities and possibilities than Hold'em.

Both are fun, but if I can find a game, I'll play Omaha before Texas any day, particularly because everybody and the dog plays Texas Hold 'Em nowadays, which brings in a lot of lousy players and screws up the game. I know, I know...you can take a lot of money from bad players, but they can end up taking a lot from you by sucking out all the time on crap hole cards. Omaha is played by better players who are a little more familiar with poker and you can at least get the satisfaction of knowing you've played against better players. Once the Texas Hold 'Em craze has died (And it will...), it would be nice to get back to playing Texas Hold 'Em with serious players again and be able to play in a WSOP tourney without having to go up against 2000 people at a time (the tourneys once were only about 100-200 large, now it's gotten ridiculous...why do you think some of those folks have 7-9 bracelets? Is it because they're really great? Can the see through cards? NO! They just played when the tourneys were smaller and played the same people all the time, so they knew the kind of play they'd get...nowadays the same folks are getting knocked out on day 1s and 2s in any tourney. If you were born into money and money wasn't an object to you, you'd be on TV all the time, too, because you could simply play all the time and people assume that you're really good. Boy, that was a bit of a tangent. Sorry.)

Omaha is an gradually more advantageous customary version of texas carry em. you'll detect it spread at a range of of stay casinos and also on fairly a lot any respectable poker room. also, rotation video games are gaining in popularity. HORSE (a mixture of carry em, Omaha H/L, Razz, 7 Card Stud and seven Card Stud 8-or-more advantageous effective) is drastically customary, and on Poker Stars 8-sport seems catching on. that is a mixture of lowball (2-7 triple draw), reduce carry em, reduce omaha h/l, reduce razz, reduce 7 card stud, reduce 7 card stud intense-low, no reduce carry em and pot reduce omaha).

I guess I have to disagree with the previous guy. I love hold 'em, and I love that fact that all the fish love hold 'em. I make a killing from idiots who push all in with QT. Sure, they might suckout on me sometimes, but mostly I punish them for playing weak cards and not knowing what the hell is going on.
