Does anyone know how to?
take the white "etching" out of glasses that comes from the dishwasher???
I have tried lemon juice,(I figured the acid would remove it) but it didn't work.
Any remedies would be appreciated.
The "etching" is white, cloudy or foggy. It happens on the glasses after they come out of the dishwasher.

I've had to use vinegar to remove water stains from my glassware. I also found that ammonia works wonders on the also. I have antique plates that had etching on them and a little baking soda and vinegar removed them quickley without scratching my delicated plates.

Vinegar works sometimes. If it has been going on for a while you might be out of luck.
There are some commercial products like "lime away" or "CLR" that claim to work. Also at your grocery store beside the automatic dishwasher soap there are a couple of products you add to the dishwasher that help.

If it is etched into the glass, there isn't really anything that can be done about it. Etching is surface damage, not just a stain or residue, so there's no way to remove or fix it. Sorry. : (

The white etching is calcium buil up cause by hard water, throw in 1 cup of vinegar every wash, that should fix it.
