Is a Barcode necessarily to sale an item?
I have finish my Christian music Album, I needed to know if it's necesarily to have a barcode on it? Where can I get it, and how much will it cost me?

You don't have to have a barcode on your item, it will make life a little easier, because this way you can track all of your sales that you make. But if you are selling these to companies to sell for you, then yes I would have to say that you will need a barcode on your item. You will have to go and get a company to print them off for you because each item has to have there own unique code, so that the scanner will recgonize that it is your cd and not another item. Barcodes are to identify items. You have to check with publishers if they issue barcodes for albums.

It depends on who sales it. If you sell it out of your house, of course you don't need a bar code.
If you get Walmart to carry it for you, they will require a bar code produced to their specifications.
If you are selling at the local Christian book store, you will have to ask them their requirements.

ummmmmmmm is your album independant if not then the record companny will give you 1
