How do I report someone selling bootlegged movies at a flea market?

I know someone who unwittingly bought a bootlegged movie at a flea market. I've seen the vendor myself and thought his wares looked bootlegged. Having seen the DVD this person bought, now I know it for sure. I'm not entirely confident that local law enforcement knows what to do or cares enough to do anything. (It's a rural town.) To whom should I report this?

Update:

Holy cow! I had no idea people were so adverse to reporting crime! Just because it isn't MY livelihood that's being affected doesn't mean I don't care about the people whose livelihoods are.

Flea Market Security. Lol, j/k, go to a local police station and tell them about it. I am against bootlegging although some of my friends do it. I wouldnever snitch on them, but sence your snitching the vendor, go ahead.

Why are u guys so mean to this dude? He is trying to do the right thing!

Maybe you could report this to your local police department. Pirated movies are a hot item rite now im sure they would know who to contact.

Theres nothing wrong with enforcing the LAW!! dont listen to those other people they probabily pirate movies too.

Why would you want to ruin this person's livelihood? Who died and made you Video Police?

To answer your question, "bootlegging" videos is a federal offense. You's have to go through the FBI.

i\I really wouldnt worry about it..perhaps if the film companies etc got hurt a little more financialy they would stop making crap movies ..I dont think Tom cruise needs another lazy Million

Damn straight you should report it! Go to the FBI, like people have said. And ignore the people calling you a snitch and whatever. They're just more likely to get in trouble for it.

Is this all you have to do with your life?move to New York you would be busy 365 days a year..with all the knock offs.

Contact the distributor of the movie that is pirated they will be very concerned. They will send law enforcement or attorneys.
