Anyone had success with the Atkins Diet?
I would like to know how quickly some have seen results with Atkins and if anyone has lost weight using this plan has it been easy to keep the weight off. Thanks so much for your answers.

dont listen to the first reply............everything is so loaded with carbs, it sucks...carbs are the enemy and you should always try to eat as few as possible, any doctor will tell you the same....it dont mean starving yourself or eating only meat, not at all........you should not go on any diet fad or program, the only thing you need to do is cut the sugar and eat as few carbs as you can...this dont mean spending money on expensive low carb crap....just do this......make sure you drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water a day, buy yourself one of those 32oz water jug things and drink 2 daily...also, when you go to serve yourself, just serve like normal then take half off the plate and put it back, or if your at a restaurant, when you get your order, put half in a too go box before you eat, even if its fast food or sumthin........save it for later....exercise is good too but i know it sucks to do it and its hard...but if you dont then you dont, just do the other stuff.....if you live in a house then get a dog so you can take em for walks and walk yourself too...................if only i could follow my own great advice!!

Atkin's is horrific! I'm not going to suggest you do this diet because you can't have any carbohydrates for like a month! Well, you can have a very limited amount, which is NOT ENOUGH! I hated it, I gained 30 pounds after I got off the diet, on the diet I lost 20, so basically i gained that all back plus 10-15 more lbs!!! It's not worth it! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! On the other hand though, if you don't mind only eating MEAT MEAT MEAT MEAT MEAT for months, then this would be the diet to go on, but trust me when I say it's next to impossible to just eat meat all the time without hardly ANY carbohydrates! Sorry!!!

The Atkins diet limits your intake of carbs, which is probably why many people say it made them feel dizzy. I'm telling you, never skimp on carbs. They're your main energy source, and you need more of them than anything else in your diet. Carbs are your friends, not your enemies! I haven't tried Atkins, but one of my mom's friends has. She lost 15 pounds, but after she stopped the diet and resumed a normal eating pattern, she gained that back plus 5 extra pounds. The ONLY diet that works: eat less (but healthy) and exercise more.

I tried the Atkins diet and it worked but it made me tired and dizzy because my body was lacking the carbohydrates it needed to be balanced.
The best way and quickest way to lose weight is to stop eating sugar, anything in a package, can or frozen. Basically eat whole foods. Grains, fruits, vegetables and beans. It requires alot of discipline but it is very rewarding if you can stick to it. You will not only look better, you will feel great.

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.
1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.
2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.
3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.
These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.
