Why western girls prefer less clothes on their body?

sith is right, but only partially. after all, as the question pointed out, westerners often wear extremely unpractical clothing. (I have many atime laughed at the ridiculously dressed teenagers at the mall. e.g. miniskirts in the freeeeeeezing cold.) A lot of this has to do with "style" which is largely (for many people, especially youth) motivated by sexual biases. In some eastern countries where religion is such that these sexual biases are minimal, the clothing will be more reserved.

Western people have different views and so they dress differently where as people from other area's may find that women from he west dress a little too scantily.

Women in the Middle East where there clothes how they want to, to many people it is not a requirement it is just what they are used too, kind of like we wear jeans as a common staple...if you ever watch any documentaries there are so many different types of veils and different styled clothes for Middle Eastern women some that are considered for younger woman and more stylish and others that are more traditional, they have different embroidery, patterns etc. We just don't look at that and lump this into a style...aka the burk-ha--when there is actually different ways to show like your whole face, eyes etc. We make that mistake because not all of these styles is say a "burk-ha".

Some women I know have no choice and risk allot if they don't wear something like this, but allot of women choose to because they want to and find particular styles they want to where to express themselves...they just don't do it with short skirts or stuff that we are used to.

Different views and different societal beliefs is really what it comes down too. We all need to be respectful of that.

Not sure what you mean by "western" girls.... but it is probably a matter of personal preference.....as well as cultural. and "religious" .... In the Middle East (as in parts of the world) there is sooo much sand blowing around, that despite the heat.....remaining completely covered is the ONLY way to keep all that sand out of places you don't want it!!!.... here, in the US.....we are spoiled by having lots of opportunities to change clothes, shower often, etc.

Middle Eastern Women wear it because it is required by religion. Simple as that, it's religious. Westerners are more practical. If it's hot, wear less.

Culture is the most effective cause of dressing. Culture mainly origins from religious belives.

I WANT TO CHANGE THIS QUESTION IN A DIFFERENT WAY. WHY DO GIRLS WEAR NEARLY NOTHING (FOR ME) ON THEIR BODY WHILE BOYS CAN STILL WEAR T-SHIRT AND PANS? THEY LIVE UNDER THE SAME ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. GIRLS GET UNDRESSED AS MUCH AS THEY CAN DO BUT NOT THAT MUCH BOYS.

Western women aren't under the control of men so they exercise their free will. Middle Eastern women are ordered by male relatives or the Government to cover up.

western girls are free to make that choice. And they do not have to worry about being stoned to death or killed by family members for showing a ankle :D

its their culture...middle east women....are bound my religious ties..

its their craziness n immatured behaviour
