So my question is, does all grandmas feel like me?

Hi Evy, I'm not a grandma but I speak for my two grandmas and what they've told me.

They say that since they're not your children you don't feel so stressed out about them. You can spoil them all you want without having to see the end results the parents have to deal with after the facts.

My granddaughter is awesome (7 mos) and I get her almost every weekend. She is on my screensaver, and pictures on my wall. That's why there is the bumper sticker "If I knew having grandchildren was so much fun, I would have had them first." Not to take anything away from the kids I had - they were awesome too. I know what you mean though.

Of course having grandchildren are more fun than having your own. You can spoil them, spend more time with them, and basically have more enjoyment. We can always send them home and we for some reason have more patience with grand kids than we had with our own. Love them grand kids.

Because you can send them home at the end of the day and you know that you will not be judged on how they end up.

Simple. You can hand them back to their parents at the end of the day and then you get a nice nights sleep. :)
