fibromyalgia and sweating?
i know two ppl who have this and i have heard both say that during the night they really sweat. when one person gets in my car in the mornings, the windows fog because of the heat she gives off.
does fibromyalgia have something to do with this or has anyone else noticed it as well? any suggestions for these ladies?

I can tell you that my son and I do not have fibromyalgia. We both do not like the heat as the temperature we give off is already high. I keep my house at 62 degrees (F) in winter and summer and still we both have night sweats. During the day, if you put your hand on the back of my neck, it is sooo hot it is amazing. My son is miserable day or night by how hot he feels. And yes, we also fog the windows in our car.
I don't know if this goes along with fibromyalgia, but my point is, anyone can have this problem. It is not just for people with fibromyalgia.

yes, i have fibromyalgia and some of my major sleep problems are due to my feeling of extreme hotness. if and when i do get to sleep, i wake up drenched with sweat. my windows are actually fogged up by the time i wake up in the morning, and my room isnt small! i also get this just after i take showers, which may be why your carpool may fog up the windows even if she has taken a shower!
there is one thing that tends to cool me off, and it is extremely dorky but not too expensive. Brookstones/sharper image have sold (im not sure that they still sell them, if not, you could try online stores or ebay) these things to put around your neck. its a personal cooling system. it is a metal half-circle type thingy, but wearing it for about 15 minutes after she wakes up or after she takes a shower should take care of the problem!
for some reason my sweats are largely due to my feet/neck. when i wear my hair up, and have flip-flops on, i usually dont feel so hot. also, she should try and keep the temperature in her room low, along with a strong fan that keeps going throughout the night. a cold breeze on my body always helps. i wear shorts and a tank top to bed, so i get the most amount of fresh air on my body. please tell her that wearing socks to sleep increases her entire body heat. she should also get very light sheets, including a light undersheet.
i really hope this helps! i know how big of a pain in the *** fibromyalgia can be, and night sweats add to the awful lack of sleep.

My mother has this actually, yes hot sweats and cold sweats are a big part of it. So is being in alot of pain all the time. It is not a good thing to have. I feel for my mom because she can't move around as well as she would like due to her pains. My mom gets by with this though by the love of her family and a special diet her doctor has her on. It is a no wheat and dairy diet, it seems to help her. Maybe it would help your friend.

i have never heard of it as a symptom--however it would be feasible- fibromylagia is a disorderof teh relevant worried method--your frame is probably not ready to keep watch over temperature proper.. there's a clinical time period (and remedy) for immoderate sweating..i do not know whatit is offhand
