The fuel pump relay is located in the underhood fuse and relay box. The back of the box usually has a diagram. If not, a repair manual is a good investment.

When you turn the key on listen for the fuel pump humming (in the first few seconds) in the back. If it doesnt run pull the pump relay. The two larger terminals that are usually perpindicular are the main power and ground for the pump. The smaller ones are the switch relay controls which you wont have to worry about testing unless the relay is bad. Anyhow, jump the two big terminals in the fuseblock with a paper clip, if the pump hums and the thing will run the electrical system is good and it may need a new relay.

If that doesnt work, whack on the tank to try and get the pump to kick on. After that its checking connections and power/ground.

Jeeps are known for no starts and fuel filters dont clog up all at once unless the tank was run clean dry. Checking a spark plug for a white powder (instead of tan or black) will tell you if it had a lean/plugged fuel filter condition.

Is the pump running when you turn the key on? If it is you have a problem elsewhere in the fuel system. How did you check to see if you have fuel or not? If the pump is not running you have an electrical problem. Could be pump relay, fuse, bad wiring or possible the safety shut off has been tripped.

Yes there is a relay and I would check that. Did you check the fuel filter? It could be clogged. Buy a chiltons, or haynes repair manual. A very good investment that will help you alot. Only bout 20 bucks

I believe that car has a safety switch that cuts off the fuel pump if it detects a hard knock that could mean a wreck (don't want to continue to pump gasoline into a wrecked engine, maybe a fire). If it might possibly have been bumped hard right before it stopped pumping, then that is a possibility.

I don't know where the reset switch is on that model.

Try changing the fuel filter....that little overlooked item that mechanics love to keep secret. Good luck.

Check all of the fuses make sure none are blow-en if all the fuses are good then if it multi injected then spray carb. spray in the air inlet and see if it will start if it dose then you parable have some bad injectors
