"Little" credit history is much better than "none" or "poor." Sometimes all they're looking for is an inkling of your ability to pay your debts on time. (a) apply for a loan with a co-signer (which, frankly, is a good idea even if your credit is good, as it will help you obtain a lower interest rate), or

(b) seek out loans geared towards those with limited or poor credit -- know that they might have have slightly higher rates

Yes you should be able to get a federal student loan as long as you have eligibility from the financial aid office. Federal student loans are not credit based, so credit history is not a factor. Also, you will not need a co-signer. You will be the responsible for the loan no one else.

go to www.fafsa.ed.gov , file a fafsa on line to determine eligibility for loans and/or grants .... There is a place on the application that asks what school(s) should receive the info and then the financial aide office will be able to tell you what you can get. The application process is free, you need to have your tax info , w2 form or your parents if you are considered to be dependant.

You need to go to the financial-aid office at your school. They will show you what grants, loans etc. you can get. Try them first, they are great folks. No credit history needed.

You gotta know somebody who will co-sign - that would be the best way. If you don't it's probably gonna be hard. Are you eligible for any grants? You don't have to pay back grants.

i had no credit history and i signed up for one through my financial aide adviser at my university. they should be able to give you all the info you need
