Trying to reupholster some chairs, tried 3 different staple guns, none work. Can any1 give suggestions?

Try an electric staple gun which requires less effort to fire and tends to sink the staples in better. Double check the length of the staples used. You may get better results and just as much hold using a shorter leg staple. If you have an air compressor you might find buying an air powered staple the answer to your predicament. Accuset and Porter Cable both produce a fine wire staple that is powered by air. Good luck!

Hi, yes try using upholstery tacks and a hammer. Staple guns are too amateurish!

You could try using upholstery tacks for this project, instead of the staples.

find someone that can push harder on the stapler. and or tap in gently with a hammer... they also make upholstery nails that work well if the staple thing doesn't...good luck.

Yes, try upholstery nails. They are cheap and can be found in just about any hardware section. It will take you a bit more time to apply them (every half inch to inch) but should last longer.

you have to be pretty strong to get the staples to be flush. your best bet is an air compressor powered stapler. the compressor and the stapler can be rented from most home improvement stores.

I use tacks (hammer them in) sometimes when I apolster if the wood the chair is made from is very hard.

staple...then go over with a hammer...GENTLY
