My neighbors dog pooped in our barn?
He has done this more than once. We live in the country and he lives within visual distance, th dog runs loose sometimes not always, and the dog s* t right in the door way to the barn. What should be done?
We saw him coming out of the barn where the poop was, as we drove up in the driveway, so we couldn't shoo him away before hand. We HAVE talked to him several times, the owner. He ahs pooped on the horse blankets that were hanging on racks and he leaned against them and it dripped down.... he is marking his territory with S*T instead of urine.
We do have an electric fence for the horses, he goes under it.
The horses run in and out during the day and that is THEIR barn. Can't close the door in the summer due to the heat. He didn't do it outside. It was in the door way and another time on the blankets, another time was in the barn stall aisles....

You're in the country... there are lots of other animals in the area. Some are wild and they poop too. Did you see this dog do it in front of your barn? If so, why did you sit there and just watch it when you could have shooed it away then.
You're on a farm... it's not like you're in a 5th Avenue penthouse and somebody's Great Dane dropped a load right on the sidewalk. Scoop it up and get on with things. If it literally bothers you that much then talk with your neighbor... but it just seems a little petty.

It is just an unfortunate side effect of country life that people will not restrain their dogs. Personally, I have never gotten upset about dog crap outside on the ground, but you might talk to the owner if you just cannot handle it.

Talk to your neighbor first. If nothing happens tell your dog warden
If all else fails,a bb gun will catch the dogs attention. An electric
fence is not an option for someone elses dog.

Put the poop in a paper bag and bring it back to your neighbor and tell them to keep it on their lawn. It worked at my house!

you should let the owners know. or tell them that you will call the pound. owners are suppost to take care of their dogs and where relive them selves. in some states it is the law that you have to clean up after your dog.
hope this helps!
