Is there any place in metro Phoenix (Arizona) that sells Sonoran-style hotdogs?
Sonoran-style hotdogs consist of a grilled hotdog wrapped in bacon and served in a bun with a topping of pinto beans, chopped onions, tomatoes, and peppers and a jalapeno/mayonnaise sauce. They taste as good as they are unhealthy. There are several places in Tucson that specialize in them, but I can't find a single place in the whole metro Phoenix area that even sells them.

There is a place that serves something like it, but it was off of Arizona Ave and Knox approximately down in Chandler. If you are heading south on Arizona Ave it is a small shop/stand and if you hit the bridge for the 202, then you have gone too far. My husband's friend bought each of us one and it looked exactly like you are describing it except they just called it a Mexican hotdog. I am not 100% about the bacon though....then again, I scarfed it down pretty quickly...

Hi Soscoaz!
I've never been to Phoenix, but if you find a place that sells the Sonoran-style hotdogs, I might just have to make a special trip to try one. They sound great! :)

There are none that I am aware of. Perhaps that would be a good start for a business here in Phx?
