Degital camera which allows black and white pics?

I need to buy a degital camera that would allow me to take black and white pics and has good resolutions and is also small enough to carry around. Can someone please suggest a good one? thanks

I own a Polaroid i832- it has very good resolution (about 8 Megapix) and can take color, B&W, sepia and negative pictures. It is a little pricey though :( around $300

Picasa from Google is freeware to convert color into B/W.

Finding camera's go to www.dpreview.com. You'll find extensive reviews about all sorts of camera from very small to D-SLR's.

Making a suggestion is not easy because the hardware is one, the software is important too and I don't know what you want. But brands like Canon, Nikon, Sony are always okay. Depending on your budget.

Well, some cameras have a black and white setting, but you can also convert to b&w on the computer, just edit the pics.

Nikon's Coolpix 5600 actually takes black and white pictures and has 5.1 Megapixels. It's priced around $200-$250 and can be carried very easily. Is that about what you're looking for?

the kodak takes black and white pictures and they cost about $150.

Convert them to B&W in your editing software. I di that sometimes and it works great.

all digital cameras can do b&w, but not on the actual camera. What u have to do is desaturate it on your computer.

Just convert the color pix to b/w when you download them to your PC... and good image editor (downloads.com) will let you do this...
