    Drop both and get Trillian. ONE program for instant messaging for your MSN and Yahoo accounts, and also AOL (AIM) and ICQ.

    Plus when you're chatting with other Trillian users, it can do something that MSN and Yahoo only give you if you "upgrade" to their business versions -- secure encrypted chat. Yeah, instant messages are plain text, the Internet equivalent of sending somebody a postcard.
