global warming... Man's fault or natural?

It is mostly man-made and comes from everything from factories to cars. Every single real scientific study links global warming directly to humans. It's only certain political figures that don't want to change for reasons easily guessable. That is why the whole developed world signed that Kyoto Treaty and why every single developed country is working to reduce their polluting of the air, water and land.

But hey, I'm sure that the politicians are more trustworthy then the entire worldwide scientific body. Right?

All of the above are .gov sites. That means that EVERY SINGLE GOVERNMENT AGIENCY THAT DEALS WITH THE ENVIRONMENT IN ANY POSSIBLE WAY AGREES THAT GLOBAL WARMING IS AN ISSUE CREATED BY MAN!!! LET ME REPEAT: EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS AGREES THAT WE ARE THE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING. True, while a volcanic erupotion does put forth some greenhouse gases, it's natural. How often does a volcano actually erupt? But think of all the cars, trucks, buses, planes, boats and lawn tools (lol) that are used every day. Not to mention the recreational ATV's, and dirt bikes. These few, and vaguely mentioned devices are used about a million times more often than a volcano erupts. The fact is, that humans have disrupted the nature of things. If a volcano erupted onces every year, or even every six months, it would still create fewer greenhouse gases than a weeks worth of everyday human activity. I don't necessarily believe that the cause can lie with just one factor. However, I do believe that a vast majority of the responsibility should be taken up by we humans. Four of the seven contributors you've listed are people, or are caused by people. The sun doesn't add to greehouses, only UV rays and other 'rays', for lack of a better description. And "stuff happens" isn't a viable cause. Because while stuff does happen, it can't be blamed.

I believe the way this question is worded illustrates the true problem with this issue, that most people do not understand exactly what the problem is, therefore they have trouble deciding what, if anything, should be done to correct it.

Global warming is a natural process. The Earth experiences cycles in temperature ranges; oceans and land masses grow or shrink as a result of these changes. Look at some old maps of the earth and compare the sizes of the continents to today's world.

The problem is that man has an effect on this natural process, and that effect has been accelerating the process and increasing the effects of it. This is not a good thing! What we have done is create a 'loop' that keeps increasing in size. 'Mother Nature' cannot recover from the effects of one action (or series of actions) before the next starts.

Think of it this way: The global temperature goes up. To counter that, we run our air conditioners more. But the air conditions put out heat and fossil fuel byproducts that increase the earth's temperature. So it gets hotter. So we run our air conditioners more. The problem just keeps growing.

Everything we do affects this cycle. Our factories, automobiles, the trash we dump in landfills...everything has some impact.

The answer that is being sought is not how to eliminate global warming, but how to minimize man's impact on it. Because all we are doing is accelerating the rate and creating an earth that will not sustain life as we know it.

Global warming is caused by automobiles, Factories, Volcanoes and others things. We can not stop the global warming by acts of nature: Volcanoes, the sun, and other natural phenominom, but we can greatly reduce the problem by reduction of the use of fossil fuels. Coals and oil products we use cause the bigging impact on global warming and that we can control.

It lies on all the above, and yes a volcano can produce alot of gasses but adding to this doesnt help at all. A lightning can burn huge forests, but the fact that we destroy so many trees makes it worse. And it is not only cars and industry, but chemicals and reduction of the sea plants that play an important reason in producing oxygen.

both. I mean, automobiles cause a huge percent of global warming with all the fossil fuels damaging the atmosphere, but it can't all be man's fault. it's just natural for the earth to warm up, i guess, because of the Sun.

I am not really positive aout this one but I do believe that it has ties in both nature and man. I believe the world would heat up naturally on it own because of the rotation of the earth and its relationship to the sun...However I also believe that if we humans didnt pump up the globe with mega greenhouse gasses the process would not be so quick, it would still happen but we sped it up fast!!!!!!!!!!

It's neither. Global warming is caused by the internet, which was invented by Al Gore. Al Gore is neither man or natural.

I think it is mans fault. but i suppose it could be a little bit of both. However i see that as a moot point because whether we know its our fault or not i think it is worth taking some precautionary measures instead of just standing around and saying " well it could be mans fault, but we dont have enough scientific evidence to prove that definitively."
